Notes for: Mamie Elizabeth TURNER

The following was published in the East Liverpool Revue on January 10,1939:

"Mrs. Mamie E. Jones,41, wife of Roley Jones, died in her home at 1325Buckeye Ave., Wellsville, Monday night following an illness of severalweeks. Born in Charleston, W. VA., Mrs. Jones has resided inWellsville for about 24 years. She was a member of the First EvangelicalChurch. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. VernaFranklin of Wellsville and Miss Virginia Jones at home; six sons, Ernest,Donald, Jay, Elmer, Edward and Edwin Jones at home; two sisters, Mrs.Della Andrews of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Nellie Salt of Cleveland, and twobrothers, Otmer C. Turner of East Liverpool and Elmer Turner ofWellsville. The body was removed to the MacLean Funeral Home onRiverside Ave. Funeral Services will be held in the First EvangelicalChurch Thursday at 3 P.M. in charge of Rev. Andrew C. Coldiron, thepastor. Burial will be made in Locust Hill cemetery near Chester.Friends may call at the MacLean home Wednesday night."

Mamie died of broncho pneumonia.

Mamie is buried next to her loving husband in Locust Hill Cemetery,Chester, W. VA.
