in her sleep Tuesday morning November 14, 1978, at her home.
She was united in marriage to Lester Evans, February 16, 1915, at
Council Grove. He preceded her in death August 13, 1960.
One brother, Buell McIntosh, also preceded her in death on April 29,
1968.
Her survivors include three sons, Eldon Evans of Wichita, Wayne Evans
of Wilsey, and Loren Evans of Englewood, Colorado; three daughters, Marion
(Mrs. Don Lee) of Council Grove, Bertha (Mrs. Ralph Campbell) of Concordia,
and Lila (Mrs. Robert Feather) of Hatboro, Pennsylvania; 13 grandchildren,
and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Evans farmed west of Wilsey for many years and later moved
back to Wilsey.
As an H.D.U. member, Mrs. Evans was quite active in serving dinners to
help pay for the Wilsey Community Building.
She enjoyed her work with the Wilsey Library for 20 years and with her
hobbies of flower arranging, knitting, and crocheting.
She was a member of the Christian Church, Sunflower Club, Worthwhile
Club, Rebekah Lodge, and Royal Neighbors.
God saw the way was getting rough
The hills too hard to climb
He gently took her in his arms
and whispered "Come be Mine"
