Graduated Queens College 1795; Knighted by King James I on July 1, 1619; a member of Parliament 1621-22; Junior Partner Harvey and Hinton in The Great Woolen House of London; stock holder in London Company at established settlements in Virginia Colony; Comissioner of Wool and Trade in Parliament 1626; High Sheriff of Berks 1611 and Lord Mayor of London 1622.
First Hinton to set foot in the New World. After a short stay, he returned to England and invested large sums of money in the colonies; primarily the Jamestown Colony.
