Notes for: Thomas MAXWELL
Thomas Maxwell journeyed into western Pennsylvania and never returned. The last heard of him he was about to cross the Monongahela River, which was in flood stage, and it has always been the supposition that he was drowned. His widow and her six children, accompanied by her father and mother, moved from Pennsylvania into Harrison County a year or two later, and made their home on the farm of Colonel William Lowther, on Lost Creek.
