Notes for: William HENDRICKSON
William Hendrickson was the husband of Virginia Jane Kemp, they were married in 1807 in Hardin County, Kentucky. They moved to Dubois County, Indiana sometime around 1818. The Hendricksons had an apple orchard on their farm and they developed a strain of apple which was known as the Hendrickson Apple. It was very popular with the pioneer families in the area. William and Jane took in orphan children from all around the area and at one time they had 13 orphan children in their care.
