Notes for: Josephine MARSH

Josephine Marsh
Obit
Died Walrod-In this city, March 26, 1897, Josephine, wife of Michael Walrod, age 55 years, 10 months, 7 days. Mrs Walrod was a daughter of George W. Marsh, and had been a resident of this city with her husband two years, of since the death of her step-mother. She was born in the town of Fowler, St. Lawrence county, NY., May 18, 1841, and at the age of twelve years, in 1853, her parents removed to Beaver Dam, Wis Growing to womanhood in that city Miss Marsh in November, 1862, became the wife of Mr Walrod. Removing from Beaver Dam 1864, Mr and Mrs Walrod became residents of Fairbanlt, Ms. where they remained until 1895, when the infirmities of old age of Mr Marsh induced them to change their place of abode. Several weeks ago Mrs Walrod attended Mrs F.b. Parkman while the latter was quite ill, and it is thought that the exposure to the weather lead to the troubles which subsequently proved fatal, the deceased having been a sufferer with some complication of the groin for many years. The funeral took place last Monday, the remains being interred at Bayside. Owing to the long distance which interrvenes between two sisters and a brother the latter were unable to reach here in time to attend the obsequies, even if so disposed. Mrs Walrod was also a sister to Mrs Frank A. Ives
