Charles Bailor came to Spokane, Washington about 1888, and the family followed soon after by train, from Osakis, Minnesota. They lived noth of the SpokaneRiver, in the Minnehaha area. Charles Bailor worked for the city water works. They moved to Rathdrum, Kootenai County in the early 1900's and Charles had a tobacco shoppe in Coeur d'alene, Idaho. He was also the county assessor for a time.

Word was received last week that C. Bailor, father of Mrs Moore passed away August 17that the home of another daughter at Olympia, Wa. Mr Bailor was well known and highly respected by the residents of Benewah and Kootenai counties. He was a pioneer in the Northwest, coming to Spokane some thirty years ago; then later homesteading near Emida. He held county office at one time and was a prominent mason. The last five years he has been in poor health. The sympathy of the community is extended to the wife and three daughters in their bereavement.
