Died in a truck accident 5 mi. north of Owensboro, KY on Hiway 71 Served with Co. B 16th Armored Engineers EOD - Cleared Omaha beach for D-day invasion. Decorations include Marksman{rifle}, EAME Theatre ribbon w/5 bronze stars and w/ bronze arrowhead, American Defence Service Medal, Distinguished Unit citation. He was in Pilsen, Czechoslovakia when the war ended.
