Sarah Cox was the daughter of Benjamin Cox and Elizabeth Cooper Cox. Benjamin Cox was the richest man in Dubois County in pioneer days. Sarah's husband was Henry Kemp, they had 12 children. Sarah's granfather was William Cooper, a Revolutionary War Soldier in George Washington's Army.
