Notes for: Walter Harrington SEARS
In 1911 he enrolled at Springfield College where he graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Humanics (B.H.). He was in the USNR in1918-19 and left service as an Ensign. He married late in life to Eleanor Stockin whose father was the last owner and publisher of "The Youth's Companion". In 1926, Harry and Eleanor settled in Newton, MA where he worked as a science teacher at the F.A. Day Junior H.S. In the summers they both worked at camps on Lake Winnepesaukee. They retired in 1954 to Laconia, NH.
