Notes for: Joseph CRAIG
Little is known about Joseph. He seems to have never married. He was apparently the eldest son of Benjamin Craig, and he appears on some early Virginia and Kentucky deeds with his father. He lived on Vevay Island. In 1800 Benjamin deeded a lot of property to his son Joseph, because Joseph had given bond that Benjamin was not to leave the bounds of Frankfort, which Benjamin had inadvertantly violated [Gallatin Co Deed Book A-2, page 30, October 22, 1800].
