Notes for: Mary Catherine KIMBROUGH

Mary and Peter moved to an 80 acre farm near Mooresville in 1830. After Peter died, in 1831, she married James D. Medaris in Dec. 8, 1839 and moved to a farm near Santa Fe (Cuba). He was a widower, a vetern of the War of 1812; had 9 sons and 1 daughter (1809-1829) moved to Sidney, Ohio in 1831. His first wife (Levisa KING) died in 1838 and he moved to Santa Fe, IN, and resumed his profession of Methodist circuit rider. They together finished raising his 9-son, 1-daughter Medaris family and her 4-girl, 1-boy Coble family.
