Notes for: Jonathan DWINELL

"Jonathan Dwinel, yeoman,, in Boxford, 1781; m. Esther Wadsworth, May 5,1783. He removed from Boxford in 1776; d. in Marlboroug, N. H., about1835, ae. 84." (Dunnel Genealogy, p. 32.)

Jonathan served in the Revolutionary War, receiving Pension Claim S.9851. Nellie A. Kidder Faris Wunderlich, in DAR application 197758,describes his service:

While residing at Boxford, Massachusetts, in 1775 he marched from saidBoxford to Cambridge, Mass. at the time of the Lexington and Concordbattles and was out a few days; he enlisted in Oct. 1775 and served fourmonths as a private in Catpt. Jonathan Foster's Company, Colonel Read'sMassachusetts Regiment.

While residing at Keene, New Hampshire, he enlisted in July 1777 andserved two months and six days as a private in Captain Wilson's NewHampshire Company.

He was allowed pension on his application executed August 17, 1832, atwhich time he was living at Marlboro, Cheshire Co, New Hampshire.
