Mabel C. Dunn

Mabel C. Gregory Davidson Dun, 97, of Meridian, died Wednesday, April13, 1988, in a Boise nursing home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Meridan UnitedMethodist Church. Rev Ralph Lawrence and Mrs. Dunn's family willofficiate. Burial will follow in th Meridian Cemetry. Arrangements arende direction of the Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian.
Mrs. Dunn, a retired bookkeeper, was born Aug. 4, 1890, at Joseph,Ore., a daughter of George and Addie Perkins Rivers. She moved to Idahowith her family in the early 1900s. Mabel graduated from the old BelfreyGrade School near Ustick, and later from Link's Business College. She wasemployed as a bookkeeper prior to her marriage to Raymond Gregory on Oct.19, 1914, at Boise. They made their home on a ranch west of Meridian. Mr.Gregory died in February of 1928, leaving Mabel with the responsibilityof raising their four children. Mabel became the first bookkeeper for theAda County Dairymen's Association, continuing in that position until1949. She also served astreasurer for the Village of Meridian, and wasclerk of the Meridian School District for 35 years. She married WilliamB. Davidson, a Meridian attorney, in 1946. Mr. Davidson died in 1956.She married Frak W. Dunn in 1963. He died in 1974.
She was a member of the Meridian United Methodist Church: MeridianChapter #66 Order of Eastern Star; and Acme Rebekah Lodge #26.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Meridian UnitedMethodist Church Building Fund, E. 3rd and Idaho streets, Meridian83642; or to a favorite charity.
