William Jackson is first found in the records of "Some Early English Emigrants to America - 1683-1684". He is listed as a husbandman, age 30, son of Mathew Jackson, dead. From Hincksorne (?) co. Cambridge. X (illiterate) Thomas Arnall of London, a merchant, is paying for his passage to Virginia where he will serve as a husbandman for a term of 4 years to Captain Thomas Arnall. The contract for indenture was signed on the 13th of August, 1684.
William becomes successful in a short time as he is entered in the Rent Rolls before 1700 as having 234 acres on Little River, Pasco.
