Notes for: John Newman MCFADIN
John Newen McFadin was an attorney and principal in McFadin & Scott, Attorneys at Law, in Taylorsville, TX, about 5 miles south of Circleville. He was active in politics and the business community. In February 1879, "The Great Fire of Taylorsville" destroyed most of the business district including McFadin's Hotel and his law office.
John Newen McFadin attained the title of "Judge" by being elected Chief Justice of Williamson Co., Texas. He was later appointed as District Attorney of the Western District of Texas. [email David McFadden11/27/00]
