Notes for: Ethel MCFADDIN

Ethel McFaddin is said to have been born and raised in Mexico. Her father was said to have been one of the early ranchers of Edwards Co.,Texas, where she continued to reside. In 1913 she graduated from college at Texas Normal (now Southwest Texas State University), and taught in Rock Springs, Texas, for six years. In 1919 she was elected County Treasurer of Edwards Co., Texas, the first female to hold public office in the county. She married a year later. [email David McFadden 21 July2000]
