Notes for: Mary Polly MCFADDEN

As a young woman landing on the banks of the Ohio River with her family in Posey Co., Indiana, in 1806, she was greeted by General William Henry Harrison who reported said, "You are the first white woman to arrive in this part of Indiana." [David McFadden email 5/5/00]
