Notes for: John MCINDOO

Norman McIndoo says that the John McIndoo who married Charity Heady came with his brother Milton to Pennsylvania from Scotland about 1771, fought with Captain James Poe's 3rd Company of the 8th Battalion from Antrim Township in the Cumberland County Militia. It has been suggested that he accompanied Daniel Boone on one of his trips to Kentucky. He married Charity Heady in 1785, moved to northern Kentucky about 1787 and was killed by Indians in the Vincennes area 1788 while gathering food for Major Clark's millitia.
