Notes for: Thomas HEADY Jr.
Thomas Heady Jr. followed his father to Fayette Co., Pennsylvania where he married Elizabeth Lloyd. Thomas Sr. and Jr. had their farms next to each other near Georges Creek. He again followed his father, as did many of his siblings, to Bourbon Co., Kentucky. When Nelson Co. was carved out of Bourbon Co., Thomas Jr. again was on hand.
His eight children did continue the migration pattern set by so many early settlers as follows: Thomas III went with his wife Rebecca Goodwine (1781-1863) to Putnam County, Indiana. It was here that Thomas III's daughter, Martha, met and married Joseph Jackson, Jr. ; James (1784-about 1830) who married Dorothy Harvey resettled in Hamilton Co., Indiana; Elisha (1793-1870) married Elizabeth Bridges (1792-1868) removed to Vigo Co. Indiana; and Elias about whom little is known also went to Putnam Co., Indiana. Stillwell (1783-1814) married Susannah Stonebreaker (about 1785-1850) stayed in Nelson Co., Kentucky. Jacob (1786-1859) married twice to Jane Heady and then Nancy Mason also stayed in Nelson Co.. It is thought that Elijah who married Betsy McGuirty also stayed behind but later moved west to Iowa or Missouri.
